So that's it! Almost...
So my least favourite Christmas Special is...

A Christmas Carol

Yes, Moffat's first Christmas Special isn't the best and I hope to detail why I don't think it was that good in this article.

A little bit too Christmassy...

Although it was Christmas and everybody was in the festive spirit, I feel personally, that Moffat took the Christmas theme a little too far with this one. Although their wasn't actually ghosts, I like Christmas episodes that have a Christmassy theme but is not about an actual Christmas story (All of the RTD era Xmas Specials).

Wouldn't that be a paradox?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but young Kazran seeing his future self and then changing his mind about how to live his life, would create a paradox wouldn't it?

No alien

The thing that really bugged me about this episode is the fact that it was missing the thing that makes Doctor Who what it is: an alien! Yes we had the shark, but there was no real villain in this episode and I felt it was really missing an alien being the main villain.

No more Christmas Stories

(WARNING: this section may contain spoilers!) According to filming reports, this years Christmas Special will be about the story, The Snowman. I'm not too fussed about this because it looks like Moffat has gone for a happy medium: a Christmas story mixed with aliens!

In Conclusion...

Had some big names (Michael Gambon and Katherine Jenkins), but I feel the story didn't live up to my expectations. The story wasn't bad and their have definitely been much worse Doctor Who stories, but for a Christmas Special I feel Moffat could have done a better job.

Tomorrow: Surprise...
