Christmas Special: More Filming Pictures

As filming continues in Bristol of the 2012 Christmas Special, more information has been revealed. Below are some new pictures of filming and also some quotes.

WARNING: This post contains some small spoilers.

In one scene, Clara is searching for the Doctor. She looks up and shouts "Doctor!" repeatedly.

Jenny turns up and Clara asks: “I’m looking for the Doctor. Do you know him?” Jenny replies: “Doctor? Doctor Who?”

Clara shouts for him again and Jenny says: “Stop shouting! We don’t want to attract attention!”

In another scene, the Doctor is walking through the park on his own. He looks around and makes his way to a structure with a ladder. He pulls down a ladder and climbs up.

Clara is spying on the Doctor from behind a tree and follows him. She jumps to try and pull down the ladder but falls over! She then gets back up and makes it up the ladder.

Christmas Special: Victorian Streets Filming

WARNING: THIS POST CONTAINS SOME SMALL SPOILERS.

Last night, the Doctor Who team were in Bristol filming for this years Christmas Special.

The special will take place in 1890's London with snowy streets adding to the Christmas setting. On set were Matt Smith, Jenna Louise Coleman and Dan Starkey who plays the Sontaran Strax.

In one scene, the Doctor apparently says, "Take her back where you found her!" probably referring to Clara so does he not like her at first?

In another scene, Clara chases after the Doctor but he won't stop and he rides away in a horse and cart. "She's not my problem" he says and Clara falls over in the snow.

Christmas Special 2012: Monster?

Some interesting photos have been revealed showing what looks like evil looking snowmen on the set of this year's Christmas Special.

Filming took place at Insole Court in Cardiff yesterday night, and some scary looking snowmen were spotted being used in some scenes (sadly only an incomplete, disassembled one was pictured).

We have seen evil Santa's in the past so who's to say there can't be evil snowmen!

Also in news concerning the Christmas Special, Corn Street in the city centre of Bristol have been alerted to imminent filming on Monday 20th August between 9pm - 5am.

Christmas Special Filming: Cemetery

WARNING THIS POST MAY CONTAIN SOME SPOILERS. READ AHEAD AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Filming continued today on the Christmas Special today, at Cathays Cemetery, Cardiff.

Matt Smith, Jenna-Louise Coleman (Clara), Neve McIntosh (Madame Vastra) and Catrin Stewart (Jenny) were all on location with one scene of The Doctor, Vastra and Jenny mourning somebody at the grave, could it be Clara???

The three of them lay flowers on the grave and the Doctor storms off.

Madame Vastra: Where are you going?

The Doctor: To find her! To find Clara!

So this basically confirms that the new companion will be called Clara after all and that it isn't her at the grave, so who is it?

More pictures at the cemetery:

With Jenna-Louise also on set, she was seen in modern clothes, so does this put to sleep previous rumours? It does seem rather strange that she would be wearing modern day clothing when she was seen in Victorian era clothes for filming on this episode not so long ago and the fact that this scene looks like it is still set in Victorian times.

So it looks like it will be quiet a while until we will know the answers to these questions but what is 99% certain now is that Jenna-Louise's character is called Clara.

New Companion Clues

Filming on the 2012 Christmas Special has begun and some interesting clues have been seen about the new companion.

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS SO READ AHEAD AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Jenna Louise Coleman has been seen in Victorian-era costume, suggesting that this is where the Christmas Special may be set.

Filming reports of the second half of Series 7 have recently revealed that there is more than one episode set in the Victorian era. So could this be a coincidence or does the new companion (reportedly called Clara) come from this era?

Madama Vastra (Neve McIntosh) has also been spotted on set. She was seen filming Mark Gatiss' episode (reportedly called The Crimson Horror) alongside Jenny a few weeks ago.

So this sounds very exciting! What do you think about the new companion coming from the Victorian era? Leave your thoughts in the comments below.
