Doctor Who Insider: Farewell to the Ponds

BBC America have uploaded a new Doctor Who Insider looking at the upcoming departure of Amy and Rory.

The video below features some brief new clips and interviews with Matt Smith, Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill and Alex Kingston.

Rory Action Figure Confirmed

Just before he is about to leave Doctor Who, Rory has finally been made into an action figure.

The action figure will be available to buy from 5th October 2012. The standard one, pictured above left, is £8.99 while the BBC exclusive one, above right, is £9.99.

Moffat talking about Pond Exit

Steven Moffat gave an interview to Digital Spy about writing the script for the Pond's Exit, The Angels Take Manhattan.

He talks about how 'difficult' it was writing for Amy and Rory's departure and says, "I completely changed the ending as I was writing it, thinking 'No, I've got it wrong... I'm on the wrong emphasis' - but it's a good one and it's properly emotional."

He also spoke about new companion, Clara, played by Jenna Louise Coleman. "She brings a kind of speed, a wit, a sort of unimpressed-ness which has The Doctor dancing a little harder than he's used to."
